ConverToo eliminates the dependency of the conversion process on styles. As a result, even an unstyled or poorly styled MS Word document can be smoothly converted to standard and valid DITA.
You don’t have to deal with a command line interface or complicated configuration. Its user interface is completely intuitive and lets you convert an MS Word document in just a few clicks.
ConverToo uses a “pay-as-you-go” model that allows you to pay based on the amount of pages you need to convert. Moreover, in the special Test mode, the pages are not counted!
Automatic recognition of information types
ConverToo automatically identifies the information type of your legacy content and converts it to the relevant DITA information type.
Generation of DITA maps
ConverToo generates a DITA map or bookmap that replicates the structure of your original Word document.
Control over the conversion process
Converting an MS Word document takes literally a few clicks. However, if default settings are not sufficient, and you want to get more control over the conversion process, you can easily fine-tune the conversion settings.
How It Works
Instead of looking on the style of a piece of content, ConverToo checks the visual representation of the content. You, as a human, can quickly say where there is a bullet item and where there is a bolded text, regardless of whether a proper style is assigned. You just know what you see. Similarly, ConverToo relies on what it sees rather than on which style is applied (if at all).
